Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced hardware/systems engineer with experience in design and administration of servers for database and web services applications. The candidate must be proficient in various server environments, including HP/Windows and Sun/Solaris systems. Major Tasks and Responsibilities:
1) Overall supervision, maintenance and support of all Process Control Information Division  (PCID) DYS/FabVision (Server/Storage) Infrastructure
    a)Act as Level 3 Support Escalation point for all issues affecting PCID DYS/FabVision Servers in Global KLA-Tencor and contractor locations
    b)Provide day to day user support for all PCID DYS/FabVision developers, engineers and     tech support teams
2) Design and architect the PCID DYS/FabVision Systems (Server/Storage) Infrastructure
    a) New technology exploring for N+1 and N+2
    b) Help to research, define, configure, qualify, and finalize technology stack roadmap for PCID DYS/FabVision products
    c) Formulate, implement and create procedural documentation for PCID DYS/FabVision products Server HW setup and installation
    d) Create BOMs, coordinate ordering of parts and build multiblade FabVision Windows-based servers
3) Conduct the yearly PCID DYS/FabVision CAPEX planning and create the budget plan document for HW, SW and Maintenance requirements
    a) Research, test and implement cost-effective solutions targeted at improving the PCID DYS/FabVision Systems (Server/Storage) Infrastructure
    b) Determine HW requirements from all PCID DYS/FabVision groups and create configuration plans and solutions to support  the requirements
    c) Create and submit purchase orders for various FabVision, Klarity Defect(KD) and ACE HW, SW and Maintenance requirements
4) Assist in resolving complex server issues in-house as well as various customer installations
    a) Design and setup complex server configurations in support of customer requirements as requested by Marketing and Project Teams
    b) Conduct and implement remote setup and configuration of KD Unix and Linux servers in various global KT or customer locations
5) Review and test 3rd party products to verify compatibility with PCID platforms.

Desired Skills/Experience:
Candidate must have a degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science or related fields.  The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing with expertise in the overlay and lithography areas.  Must have excellent oral and written communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.  Candidate must be self-driven, yet a strong team player.  Software and database connectivity skills are a plus.

BS or higher degree in Material Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field.

Activities will include working with cross functional teams to define subsystem specifications, analyze data, model solutions, design and implement chosen solution, and test implementation against subsystem specifications.   Initial tasks would include morphing existing algorithms from other KLA-Tencor systems to provide value on the Surfscan system and looking at ground up algorithm design and the implementation of that design for the next generation system.

Qualifications
