Job Description:
Primary Purpose:
Primarily responsible for customer service activities associated with modifying, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing of highly complex capital equipment at customer sites and trade shows.  Represents the company to the customer and assumes accountability for customer satisfaction with service.  Assures operational quality of system equipment.  Coordinates actions with customers to minimize down time.  Provides assistance to Installation Engineers in resolving problems.

Responsibilities:
Evaluates, analyzes, diagnoses and troubleshoots technical equipment problems via telephone or at customer site. Ensures equipment enhances customer production. Repairs and modifies equipment at customer facility.  Evaluates equipment to determine type and extent of problem. Repairs involve board problems which can be performed using standard  procedures as well as  system level problems which may have multiple causes and no standard procedures exist. Repair of system level problems are based on CSE's technical knowledge, education and training. Board problems vs. system level problems are split 50/50.  In analyzing and diagnosing equipment problems, CSEs may access and determine problem exists in customer process such as chemical leaks or contamination and as a result may recommend shutdown of customer fab due to unsafe conditions.
1) Provides guidance and technical assistance to Installation Engineer on installations at customer sites or on installing/dismantling demonstration machines.
2) Travels by car or airplane to customer facility.
3) May conduct customer orientation and technical training on some aspects of equipment maintenance support for user applications.
4) Cross-trains and assists other field service engineers as appropriate.
5) Prepares reports on customer support activity and provides documentation to engineering, marketing and sales on recurring problems.  Makes  recommendations  for improvements.
6) May independently prepare quotes for customers based on labor, travel expenses incurred and parts needed.  CSEs use discretion in preparing quotes based on reason for equipment failure, time to prepare, etc.

Knowledge and Skills:
Certification Level 3 - Proficiency in systems level repair of multiple or extremely complex products within a family is required. Advanced electronics skills. Ability to troubleshoot problems in software and electronic systems. Strong knowledge of optics and lasers, computer theory and applicable operating system knowledge. Strong mechanical and analytical skills.  Strong interpersonal/communication skills in understanding customer needs.  Ability to work under pressure and stringent timelines since failure of company equipment may shut down customer manufacturing area.  Must successfully complete ongoing technical training to acquire a thorough knowledge of company equipment, the application of diagnostic techniques and practical application of service aids.

Education and Experience:
BSEE or BSET degree or equivalent work experience in supporting complex capital equipment for the semiconductor industry is required. Must obtain KLA-Tencor certification level 3 as well on ongoing certification. Requires re-certification every 18 months.

Supervision Required:
The nature of work requires that Customer Support Engineers work independently; only occasionally (approximately 20% of time) requiring guidance from management. Customer Service Engineers are required to contact management on a daily basis to report activities. Customer Support Engineers spend approximately 50% of time in office resolving equipment problems via phone and 50% of time at customer site.

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient using standard electronic troubleshooting equipment (O-scope, DVM). Skilled at troubleshooting complex electronic, mechanical and pneumatics systems. Good customer and communication skills a must. Basic computer skills required. Fab experience a plus. Must be able to work with a team both locally and remotely. Prior experience on semiconductor manufacturing equipment and/or Macro defect inspection equipment a plus.

Job description:
The REBL program is developing a new-generation electron-beam lithography system for high-throughput maskless production of ICs.  Much of the technology employed in this system is novel, and the software to operate the system and supply data to it is likewise novel.

1.Help us complete the latest version of our "EDGE" software (an IC pattern processing program) and complete a port of it to Linux. Test and benchmark both the Windows and the Linux versions of the completed application. Ensure that the Linux GUI is equivalent to the Windows one. Support internal and external customer evaluation of this application. Ensure that the program is 'customer ready.'
2.Participate in our work to further improve the performance of EDGE, by introducing new programming constructs such as MPI and output-file format changes; enable user visualization of portions of an IC mask layer after it has been processed by EDGE. Ensure that EDGE can process test patterns needed to achieve program milestones and acceptance tests of REBL.
3.Develop hardware and software architecture for the 'Distributor', a new module in the REBL data path. This module will be similar to an embedded system, but quite complex, with dedicated background and foreground software tasks, high-performance storage modules, high-performance computation elements (e.g., GPUs), specialized FPGA cards and multiple network cards. Participate in reviews and assessments of the hardware design. On the basis of the software architecture and hardware selected, design, code and test the software for the new module.

Education and Experience:
1.Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in relevant branch of science or engineering.
2.10+ years' experience, at least part of which should be in data preparation for semiconductor lithography and part in applications development under Linux. 3.In-depth knowledge of both Linux and Windows-based systems. 
4.Ability to program multi-threaded applications, particularly using 'Boost' libraries (for Linux application), will be needed.
5.Ability to program for a quasi-real-time environment similar to an embedded system.
6.Some familiarity with CUDA programming is helpful. Familiarity with WxWidgets (a tool for producing a Windows-like GUI in Linux) will be very helpful.
7.Some familiarity with device drivers may be useful.

SAP BO/BI Analyst (Functional)(#108469)

Job Title: SAP BO/BI Analyst

Job Description:
KLA-Tencor is looking for a senior/experienced SAP BO/BI Analyst for its Business Intelligence (BI) team. This is a key position in the group and the
candidate must possess the following skills:
1.A minimum 5 years of extensive and hands-on experience in using SAP Business Objects Enterprise Tools on top of SAP BW and relational databases
2.Experience with the Business Objects version 4.0
3.Knowledge on BO XI Architecture and new feature
4.Ability to translate business reporting requirements into an effective and usable reporting application
5.Design and build Universes over existing SAP BW and non-SAP databases
6.Expertise in Universe designing, developing and generating complex, Adhoc, dashboard Reports, Business views, List of values
7.Extensively use of Business Objects reporting functionality such as Master Detailed, Dynamic Filter, Slice and Dice, Drilling methodology, Ranking, Sections, Input Controls, Graphs, Breaks, and highly formatted reports with cross tabs tables
8.Good understanding of the design and development methodologies for creating dashboards, WEBI, reports, etc
9.Knowledge in Building DSO, Cubes, Multi provider and transformation in BW
10.Working Knowledge of setting up BO security
11.Experience with other BI tools like Business Objects Crystal Reports, QlikView is a plus

Education and Experience:
Ideal candidate would have at least 5 years hands-on experience with SAP implementations with at least 3 years of SAP BW hands-on experience with minimum 2 full life cycle SAP BW implementation in a multi-department environment across different function modules (like FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, HR). Experience on SAP BW version 7.0, or higher is required.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 7 years of experience.
OR
Master's Level Degree with at least 5 years of experience.

3.Manage the outcome per SLA from Managed Service Provider teams responsible for Storage and Unix production support.
4.Partner with Architecture team to deliver innovative and cost effective solutions to align with business needs.
5.Performs Storage/Unix infrastructure design, performance tuning and optimization as required across the global landscape.
6.Participate in IT strategic planning and budget preparation.

Education and experience desired:
1.Minimum 5 years’ experience in EMC and NetApp storage.
2.Expert knowledge in RedHat Linux and Solaris operating systems.
3.Experience working in highly Virtualized VMware/Citrix environment.
4.Experience with cloud technologies like Amazon EC2 and S3.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (KT-Labs) ( Motion Control | E-Beam | Vacuum systems) (# 107980)

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Milpitas, CA
Duration: Full time

Job Description:

Responsibilities:
1. Develop system level architecture/solutions and error budget analysis for the mechanical engineering portion of an electron beam development program.  Included in this category are electron, x-ray and ion beam optics, electrical, mechanical, photonics, and physio-chemistry system design, development, and integration.
2.Participate/lead design, simulations, error budget development and design review processes, design and execution of experiments, validation processes, and execution to the PLC protocol, including development risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
3. Produce sub-system specifications to meet the total tool performance requirements, support engineering staff in next level specification and test planning.
4. Provide effective presentation and written evaluations to internal customers to show capabilities of the product concept. Interface with customers to understand the requirement of their needs. Feedback on product performance and market gaps back to the marketing and engineering teams.  This candidate must work closely with other internal development programs within KT.

Desired Skills and Experience:
1. Familiarity with electron optics systems, wafer transport and vacuum systems is a must.
2. Thorough knowledge of systems engineering and having completed an e-beam product development cycle preferred.
3. Ability to system and sub-system architectural solutions
4. Ability to develop/conceptualize system requirements, Mechanical assemblies, error budgets, and designs based on conventional/unconventional design of electron beam system and controls.
5. Should be able to perform basic FEA analysis using either ProMechanica or SolidWorks Simulation. The ability to perform complex analysis a plus.
6. Must have experience designing parts and assemblies for use in high and ultra high vacuum environment.
7. Must be able to create 3D part/assembly models and detail drawings for fabrication per best practices using ProE.  Should be able to perform tolerance analysis on designs to ensure budgets are met. Should have a thorough understanding of GD&T standards.
8. Must be able to work within a small team environment, work with outside contractors, consultants, and participate in VOC/market validation efforts.
9. MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering preferred with a minimum of 5 years experience in one or more of the following areas; high precision motion systems, vacuum systems, electron optics, micro manufacturing and controls systems.

Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 12 years of experience.
OR
Master's Level Degree with at least 8 years of experience.
