Job Description:
The EBEAM division, designs and manufactures Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) equipment for wafer inspection (fast defect finding) and ultra-high resolution defect review. Each product's life cycle is about 2 years from early development to release. The market for e-beam inspection and review is expected to have strong growth in the next few years, complementing and supplementing light optical wafer inspection.
 
Responsibilities:
This engineering team is seeking a  SW engineer to work with cross functional development. The position also requires the ability to plan SW modules of 6-36 months in duration, work with the team and to be technical-oriented and hands-on during the entire PLC.

1) Participate in all stages of software development including deployment/trouble shooting at customer sites.
2) Must have good understanding of general SW principles and constructs
3) Need to be able to work with hardware and systems/application groups to understand system requirements and map them to a software design.
4)Interact with multi site team members (India & USA)
5) Handle software sustaining activities
6) Be able to communicate effectively, conduct technical presentations

A product planner will own the spare parts planning during the product life cycle for their product lines.  The planner will work closely with Sales/Marketing, procurement and engineering to track installed base growth, manage global inventory levels and the overall spares business for their product line.  The product planner will also be looking for ways to optimize the spares stocking strategy and be working with the supply chain team and manufacturing to identify opportunities for inventory reductions while maintaining customer service levels.  Working technical knowledge of inspection and metrology tools is also needed to understand technical impacts on the supply chain.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience: 2 years experience in a high-tech supply chain environment or program management preferably with direct customer interaction is preferred but not required.
Skills: Must have excellent written and oral communications skills and be comfortable presenting to internal and external customers.  Excellent analytical and problem solving skills are a must. Ability to focus on complete business picture is also needed.  Experience with MS-Access and other database management software is essential. Programming skills would be a plus.

Basic Qualifications:
BS/BA Business or related field with preferred concentration in Operations or Technical Supply Chain Management (MS/MBA preferred a plus).

The position will be responsible for conducting product concept, design, development, prototype and qualification of complex DUV to NIR optical subsystems.  The position will be responsible for leading optical system design and development activities across multiple programs to ensure best in class optical solutions meeting product performance, cost and time to market requirements.  This position will be expected to enable designs that ventures into new product areas and retire risks in existing product lines.

This is a hands-on, hardware oriented position requiring expertise in the areas of: Geometrical and diffraction theory, optical systems design, analysis and tolerances, coatings, radiometry, stray light, polarization optics, sources and detectors, opto-mechanics, opto-electronics, optical alignment, optical testing and metrology, design to manufacture and assessment from the component level through completed system over product life cycle.

Responsibilities:
Successful candidate will be able to perform systems engineering work, focusing on development and implementation of control systems for the semiconductor equipment.
This includes the following skills:
1) Controlling mechanical stages - typically leadscrew driven with cross roller bearing guides, or air bearing stages with linear motors and optical encoders for position feedback.
2) Testing and tuning vibration isolation systems.
3) Controlling system components: Illuminators, mechanical mechanisms (often pneumatic actuation with thru beam sensors for end of travel confirmation), rotary and linear motors - with and without encoders.
4) System level technical specifications for the next generation SWIFT Wafer inspection tools with minimum input from Management and work closely with other functional groups (Marketing, Applications, Manufacturing and Service) to define right level of compromise between performance and cost.
5) Design, write and execute detailed test and characterization plans.
6) Create performance models of complex electromechanical, optical and opto-mechanical systems.
7) Create top-level system error budgets by integrating and performing trade-off analysis of contributions from various sub-systems.
8) Create and monitor top-level system integration plans.
9) Hold design reviews, attend design reviews and develop associated engineering documentation.
10) Provide engineering support for escalated manufacturing and field issues.
