The Wafer Inspection Division (WIN) is seeking a Systems Software Engineer in our Milpitas, California campus. The Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) Division provides industry leading metrology solutions for worldwide semiconductor IC manufacturers. The FaST Division portfolio of metrology products includes hardware and software solutions for optical film thickness, optical critical dimension (CD), composition, and resistivity measurement systems. These products are essential for the IC manufacturers as they provide critical metrology capabilities for the development and implementation of their advanced IC processes. Responsibilities:
This position is a senior level SQC position with a focus on developing tests for new software features. The position is within an algorithm and modeling software group for Optical Critical Dimension (OCD) metrology. OCD is used to measure key transistor dimensions during the semiconductor device fabrication processes.

Preferred Qualifications:
Basic requirements
1) >5 years hands-on experience with software development and testing processes. Must be familiar with CMM.
2) Experience with testing applications written on .NET and must be able to develop/update test scripts in C#, VB, VBS, AutoIt, .bat/.cmd.
3) Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
4) Ability to design, develop and execute effective acceptance, comprehensive, performance, usability tests.
5) Ability to design effective tests without requirements specification.
6) Ability to make clear and concise description of found issues illustrated by screenshots.
7) Experience of working with Rational Team Concert defect tracking system.
8) Proficient in Windows OS (XP/7/Server2003/2008): ability to perform basic administrative tasks / troubleshoot issues related to files system, registry, processes, services, user accounts, permissions, installer, applications: MS SQL, IIS.
 
Desired:
1.Experience with project planning and task estimation.
2.Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication and associated metrology.
