Technical Programs Director (# 108444)

Job Description:
The Director of GSS Technical Programs is responsible for driving programs spanning all K-T products focused on advanced diagnostics and guided trouble-shooting. 

Specific responsibilities include:
- Lead cross-functional product life-cycle (PLC) team with representatives from each product support group, marketing, engineering, and IT, to develop roadmaps, define projects, and drive product development and release.
- Work with the new product introduction teams to ensure that diagnostic and trouble-shooting capabilities are built into all new K-T inspection and metrology tools, and are leveraged to accelerate learning on new tools.  Ensure that best-known methods are developed and used across all product lines.
- Work closely with Service Marketing to develop diagnostic and trouble-shooting solutions to help both our customers and our service engineers more efficiently service K-T inspection and metrology tools, while protecting core K-T intellectual property.
- Use data gathering and analysis tools to provide value-added capability, in terms of both service metrics (i.e. uptime, MTTR) as well as tool performance (e.g. capture rate or measurement precision) to our customers, and leverage to add to the company’s service revenue.
- Stay abreast of industry and academic trends in the area of intelligent maintenance systems and be able to lead developing of our 5-year architectural roadmap.

Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated results driving product development or technical programs in semiconductor capital equipment or similar industry required. Familiarity with K-T’s PLC process or similar process for product development. Service experience on cutting edge, capital equipment products desired. Experience with turning large quantities of data into an action plan.

Basic Qualification:
Doctorate (Academic) with at least 5 years of experience.

Master's Level Degree with at least 6 years of experience.
OR
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 7 years of experience.

Job Description:

The selected Field Applications Engineers primary purpose is to provide Bright Field Inspection product applications support to our customer in Malta, NY, including product adoption, penetration, and market share activities centered on Best Known Methods (BKMs) development, identifying and implementing new applications and use cases, and maintaining competitive advantage. In addition, he/she will manage customer demos, competitive head to head activities at customer facilities, and long term adoption support. It will be his/her responsibility to generate BKMs and training material, transfer product knowledge and lessons learned to KLA-Tencor's WW Field Application Team.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters or PhD, in Engineering, Physics, Material Science or related fields.

Strong troubleshooting skills, combined with a methodical approach.

Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Well organized, self-driven, strong follow-up abilities, demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic technical environment.

Training in Semiconductor or related fields.

Background in IC processing/Semiconductor equipment is a plus.

 

Basic Qualification:

1) Work with Software Project Manager to migrate the division's source code from Rational Clear Case to Rational Team Concert
2) Assist project teams with local and remote source code control (branching, merging, building, automated unit/integration test)
3) Setup and Administer build systems
4) Write and maintain automated build and unit/integration test scripts.
5) Work with SQC to integrate automated build and unit/integration test cycles with the system level test cycles. Help promote best known methods for continuous build and test cycles.


Preferred Qualifications:

Job Title: Product Marketing Manager

Job Description:
This is a Strategic Product Marketing role in KLA-Tencor's film and scatterometry division, one of the core groups of KLA-Tencor's metrology business. The film and scatterometry division, conceives, develops manufactures and markets film and optical CD metrology equipment for the front end semiconductor manufacturing process counting all major semiconductor manufacturers amongst its key customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining new products within the product lifecycle process including defining requirements, deciding the technology required, setting priorities for the development team, selecting and working with test partners and managing product launches. In particular this position relates to Strong leadership across differing functional groups and effective communication with executive management will be key elements to success in this role.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing process and the importance of metrology tools and techniques in improving process control and will likely have worked in a wafer fab environment. More recently the candidate will have direct product marketing experience, probably working for a semi equipment company or other high tech operation.

Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline.
5-10 years experience in semiconductor industry, direct wafer fab experience is considered an advantage
Direct product marketing experience in a semiconductor or related industry is required.
MBA is considered an advantage but not essential to the position.
